Borimanga Rural Bank was established in April 1998 as a limited liability company to provide rural banking service, but started operations in December 2004.

The bank is located in the Northern Region and it is the only rural bank in the Savelugu District. The bank currently has two operational centres, in Savelugu and Tamale.
